Un fada picturalement fabuleux amoureux des fées et farfadets. Un dangereux aliéné emprisonné dans un asile de fou pour avoir tué son propre père qu'il prenait pour le diable. Ce peintre préraphaélite et bipolaire n'a eu de cesse de taquiner du pinceau le fada, la fée et le follet. Auteur du célèbre "The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke" qu'il réalise entre 1855 et 1864, Richard Dadd réussit à réunir dans un tableau qui trouverait facilement sa place dans le petit salon de Bilbo, la grande assemblée du petit peuple...Fou alié ou génie des fées, Richard Dadd (1817-1867) est le mortel le plus follet de sa génération.
